Mark Andrew is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Omaha, Nebraska, and Jersey City, New Jersey. Working across sculpture, drawing, assemblage, painting, video, and sound, he explores the meeting point of the imaginative and the everyday. By reconfiguring ordinary objects, artifacts, and scenarios into layered narratives, Andrew engages with themes of liminal landscapes, memory, repetition, and the symbolic resonance of color—using it as a compass to guide viewers through his work. Andrew has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, including a solo exhibition in 2024, and is strongly committed to community engagement. He founded the Windows of Creativity Project, a public arts initiative that elevated emerging Jersey City artists by transforming the windows of the historic General Pencil Company—the last operating pencil factory in the country—into a public gallery. Through both his practice and outreach, Andrew cultivates creativity, mentorship, and dialogue, bridging individual artistic vision with collective community impact.
